PATRICK JELK CURRICULUM VITAE 1948 Born in Switzerland, Lens, Valais. 1963/68 Completed jewellery apprenticeship with Mr. Ludovic Matteis in Geneva 1968/76 Worked on Collections for Gilbert Albert & Weber in Geneva. 1976/77 Arrived in Australia, started designing Egyptian Collection. 1978/80 Worked for Cellini & Gary Ball in Sydney. Also play bass every friday & saturday night, floor show at the "Dixon", then one of Sydney biggest Chinese restaurant, and I stay there for the next 11 years, (well it kept my fingers going). 1980 Opened atelier/studio in Paddington Sydney, designing for private clientele. 1986 First exhibition in group show at Patricia Andersons gallery, Woollahra, Sydney. 1989 Returned to Switzerland, Geneva and worked for Ludwig Muller/Vacheron Constantin. 1990 Returned to Australia, settling in Adelaide. Worked for W.B. Moser (Asian market) 1992 Group Exhibition "Desire to Adorn" Ayers House - Adelaide 1994 September Exhibition " Promenade en Sous Sol", Solo show at Greenhill Galleries, Adelaide. 1994 November
Japanese Exhibition with Silvio Apponyi : 1995 Exhibited at Phillips Gallery Sydney, Aptos Cruz and Bethany Galleries South Australia 1995 July/September. An orientation trip to Europe researching Galleries, Outlets. 1996 Festival of the Arts Exhibition at Greenhill Galleries, Adelaide, Aptos Cruz Adelaide. 1997 Exhibited with Beaver Galleries (Canbera) at Tressors Fair in Singapore. 1998/2000 Creative
Australia Exhibitions with Taj Enterprises touring Japan. During that
time, I exhibited at the following venues: 2000/2001 Australian
Embassy - Tokyo 2001 Private
showings to selected clients in London, New York & Tokyo.
